Adding Social Posts from the Media Library

1. Enter the Media Library
2. Underneath the Search Bar are the tabs for Instagram and Twitter.
3. The first time you use our social features, you will be asked to login to your Instagram and Twitter accounts. A second window will open asking you for login permissions. Complete this step to integrate Instagram or Twitter with your Wochit Media Library.

Note: No Instagram or Twitter account information is used in your video. Linking your social media account is only used to access the platform’s feed.

There are two ways to search for content:

Instagram: Use the search bar to look through Instagram for relevant content. Note that you are only able to search by Instagram handle. Handles must be written exactly as they appear on a social profile. After searching by handle, Wochit will populate their entire feed.

Twitter: Use the search bar to look through Twitter for relevant content. The Twitter search is most easily navigable by referencing the guide. In the search bar, click “Options.” There, you will see a guide with formatting options showing you formulas for phrasing your search in order to access the exact tweets you are looking for. 

 

 

To de-link your Twitter account from Wochit go to: https://twitter.com/settings/applications and revoke the permissions for Wochit. 

Why can’t I find my tweet?

Wochit’s agreement with Twitter only provides us with access to tweets up to 10 days prior. Workaround: In another browser tab, login to Twitter. Search for the tweet you want to embed. Copy the URL. Back on the Wochit tab, click on the ‘Upload Media’ icon and choose URL. Paste the Tweet URL and click ‘Save’ to add it to ‘My Uploads,’ where you can then upload it to your Lightbox.
