Collaboration Opportunities

Throughout the video creation process, there are opportunities to collaborate on production lines:

Saving Videos: Wochit allows you to choose between production lines when starting a video. Depending on which production line you choose, your video drafts and final produced videos will be shared with different team members. 

Editing Drafts: You can jump in and edit any draft from your production lines that aren’t currently being edited by another team member. Unless you see a lock icon on a draft, then it is available for you to jump in and begin editing.

Sharing Free Text: When you work with Free Text, you have the options to fully customize your text to suit your use case. First, create a Free Text overlay. Next, navigate to ‘Text Styles’ in the Free Text editor on the left side of the page. Click ‘Save As a New Text Style,’ name your text. Toggle the button to the right so that it shows green, and click ‘Save.’ Your new text will be saved with your production lines to use across videos. 

Choosing Favorites and Uploads: In the Media Library, you can click on the star button in the upper left corner of any asset to Favorite it. This will add to the Favorites tab, which is a collection of favorited assets by members of your production lines.You can also view and use media uploaded by other members of your production lines in the ‘My Uploads’ tab.

Collaborating on drafts in Slack: With a video draft, you can click ‘Preview and Produce.’ Rather than go through and produce, during the Preview, click ‘Share Your Draft’ beneath the thumbnail. There you will see the option to share on Slack, or copy a link to share. In Slack, sharing the video will generate a button that will allow your teammate to jump into the draft and make edits.

Storyboards: If you’ve created a video template that you love enough to convert into a Storyboard, those templates will also be shared with collaborators on your production lines. To search for Storyboards created by a member of a specific production line you are a member of, go to the Homepage and click ‘Storyboards’ in the header navigation. On the left hand side of the Storyboards page, you can filter by production line. 

Distributing Produced Videos: Once produced, you can share the produced video across a number of collaboration platforms, including Slack and Dropbox. When you click on a produced video, options for downloading,  exporting and sharing will appear to the right of the video.
