Selecting a Thumbnail

There are two options to select the thumbnail for your video.

Select a thumbnail from the Video Info:

1. While in the asset editor, click Video Info in the top right hand corner of the screen.
2. Below the Video ID on the right hand, you’ll see the thumbnail field. Click ‘Adjust Thumbnail.’
3. Choose one still frame from the options extracted from the assets in your Lightbox.
4. Size the crop box on the preview to adjust the thumbnail.
5. Click Select to go to the Video Information screen and Done to go back to the Timeline.

If you do not select a thumbnail before hitting Preview and Produce, you will be prompted to select one during Preview.

Capturing a thumbnail from the final video preview: 

This option gives you the ability to use any frame in the final video preview as the thumbnail. This means you will be able to use social posts and gifs as thumbnails in addition to images and video stills. All graphics and text you have added to the asset will remain on the frame you capture.

1. Click Preview and Produce on your final video cut.
2. Wait for the video preview to load. Once done, play through the preview.
3. When you reach the still you would like to use as your thumbnail, pause the preview.
4. Click the “New capture button” icon below the preview to select the still as you thumbnail.
5. Click ‘Produce’ when you’re done.
